Warehouse 13, Burn Notice and In Plain Sight

written by nickjott

Man what a wonderful time to watch some TV….Some people think that I might be crazy(and the tests have not come back yet) But if you are looking for something different to watch besides the main stream shows I have three of them for you.

imagesWarehouse 13 is put on by the newly re-branded SyFy (AKA SciFi)  it airs on Tuesday nights at 9/8C.  I just got finished watching the pilot episode (on  Hulu.com BTW) and it was great, it had all the things you would want in a “science fiction” TV show.  It is best to see it as like Eureka.  I have love Saul playing the roll as Artie, the show in a nutshell is two Secret Service agents are assigned to work for warehouse 13 “America’s Attic”  it is the warehouse for Indiana Jones.  Their job is to seek out other artifacts and put them in this warehouse. I am very impressed it is a steam punked type show where all the gadgets they use are in steam punked style. I give this show a 4 out of 5 we will have to see how the other episodes turn out!

burn-noticeNext on the list is Burn Notice (USA channel) this show is about a spy that gets “burned” what that means in the show terms is he has been marked as to hot to do any spy work and is dumped in Miami Beach to fend for himself. He meets up with a ex-girlfriend and a ex-CIA informent and start to work together to help people out of bad spots.  I really have enjoyed watching how this show has developed, it is in its second season right now.  The show is on Thursdays at 9/8c. I give this one 4 out of 5 very fun show to watch and a bonus it is on Hulu

inplainsight

And last but not least is In Plain Sight, this show is also on USA, airing Sundays 10/9C. The show is about a unit of the witness protection service and they are based in Albuquerque, NM. Mary and Marshall are the main characters of the show and make it priceless, it reminds me of the relationship that Booth and Bones have on the show Bones.  Each week they go and solve a crime/mystery pretaining to their cases. It is a very cool show to watch I give this one a 3 out of 5 some of the episodes are a bit slow but they all piece together so you have to watch from the begining of the season to understand part of the show.

Well that is it for this weeks TV show reviews, If you have a show you would like us to talk about here please feel free to leave it in the comments or email us at everythingblah@gmail.com

We here at Everything blah love to review products, games and movies and would be glad to have any product shipped to us for review. If you are a PR company that is looking to get the word out about your product that is fine but understand we write fair reviews and do not except a review/demo  unit to keep as a “payment” for the article. And Readers of this Blog rest assured if we keep a unit we will tell you right off the top, we want to have your trust as much if not more than the companies that provide us the products to test.  Remember these units go through at least four guys/gals hands before we put a post.

what happened to 14 you ask?

written by andyburnfield

Well as you all know we took a week off two weeks ago, this was for a couple of reasons one I had a wedding to shoot in Galveston TX.  And Secondly we all need a break from time to time.

I was making EP 14 a “clips” show, well it was created from several clips and went to render, now because I shot the show in different formats trying to find the best, this did not sit well with the encoding software, and was causing me a huge headache. with that said I Promise, Promise to have 14 up soon as I can get it done, in the mean time we keep plugging shows away. Live tapping tomorrow night starting at 6:45ish PM CST time catch us at http://tinyurl.com/eblive that will take you to the live stream show.

again I am sorry for letting you guys down on #14 but I promise the learning curve is happening and soon this will be something we sit back and laugh at.

New Media Site gets a check mark today?

written by admin

Well here it is late in the night, and I have been talking with @misterhijinx about the whole M. Jackson thing  and who gets “credit” for breaking the story first. Now I know a lot of you will be like what??…Who cares….but in media your credible nature as a news outlet relies on if you can get the story first and be accurate.

Now today the story was first hinted then was put on the site TMZ.com a lot of news org’s went uhh we are not saying anything till we hear it from AP or Reuters.  And trust me I understand completely why they would have said that this afternoon, but with them(TMZ) breaking it first and having pictures to back up most of what was said on their website tonight, does this give them the Street Cred. I mean will old media start taking what they say(still following up on it as any responsible news group should), and not sitting back and saying nope they are no good, don’t listen to a word they say.

Now with that said let me give you my opinion, I think that TMZ was at the right place at the right time today, I give them credit for lining all of it out and making sure they had their T’s crossed and I’s dotted.  But they were the first to say it. Now many other websites ran it as if they had come up with this but they are ” bots” pushing the same info out but branded to them.

Don’t get me wrong TMZ has had a bad report here and there, most recent that I can think of was reporting Patrick Swayze had passed away (back in May of this year).  And with those couple of bad reports it put them back in the “D” grade as far as can we “trust” them for breaking news. This grade does not get them on CNN but does not put them with “The National Inquirer”  They were started and continue to be a outlet for the celebrity paparazzi, but that is why we watch TMZ TV right??

I would love to have Harvey come out,  in fact I challenge him to come out and say not who his sources were because come on we don’t want more people hurt over this, but to kinda explain who he got this info, was there a paparazzi member in the ER at the right place at the right time or was it a inside job.  Course you all know just as well as I do this will never be answered…or will it, Twitter your friends and have them twitter @HarveyLevinTMZ and ask him to read this article!

Well only time will tell if CNN will run a TMZ story or not!

[In my favorite news anchors voice] This is Nick for everythingblah news, now back to your normally scheduled blogs!
